As temperatures drop in Chicago, too many of our neighbors — especially LGBTQ+ youth and families on the West Side — face the winter without the essentials they need to stay safe and warm. At TaskForce Prevention & Community Services, we believe no one should have to choose between warmth and well-being. That’s why we’re hosting a Coat Drive, and we need your help!
How You Can Help
We’re calling on our community to donate new or gently used coats of all sizes, from children to adults. Every coat you give will go directly to someone in need this season. Warm hats, scarves, and gloves are also welcome.
Drop-off Location:
TaskForce Prevention & Community Services
9 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, IL
Drop-off Hours:
Mondays – Thursdays: 10 am – 6 pm
Fridays: 10 am – 3 pm
Other Ways to Support
- Spread the word. Share this post and let your friends and family know how they can give.
- Host a mini-drive. Collect coats at your workplace, church, or school and deliver them to TaskForce.
- Give financially. If you’d like to support the coat drive but don’t have items to donate, consider making a contribution to TaskForce so we can purchase new winter gear for youth in need.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
Every coat counts. With your help, we can keep our community warm, resilient, and cared for this winter. Drop off your donation today at 9 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago.
