Vogue School

Vogue School is Chicago’s premier ballroom training space, rooted in Black LGBTQ+ legacy and open to all, where participants learn the history, technique, and discipline of voguing — no experience required.

Chicago’s Vogue School at TaskForce is a living continuation of ballroom legacy.

Rooted in the rich history of Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ ballroom culture, Vogue School exists to preserve, honor, and advance the art of voguing in the city where it found new life and evolution. Recognized as Chicago’s premiere Vogue School, this program offers a structured space to learn the foundations, the history, and the discipline behind the art form.

Open to everyone — and intentionally centered in Black LGBTQ+ experiences — Vogue School welcomes beginners, experienced performers, and anyone seeking confidence, community, and cultural grounding.

A Legacy of Ballroom in Chicago

Ballroom culture has long served as refuge, resistance, and radical self-expression for Black and Brown LGBTQ+ communities. From underground houses to global stages, voguing has evolved — and Chicago has played a pivotal role in shaping its unique style and energy. Vogue School honors that lineage.
